Professional conduct framework
The Advocates Act, 1961 and the Bar Council of India Rules govern advocates' professional conduct. Rule 36 of Part VI, Chapter II prohibits direct and indirect advertising and solicitation. Its website proviso concerns specified professional particulars, subject to intimation to and approval by the Bar Council of India; it is not a general permission to advertise. Section 49(1)(c) of the Act concerns professional-conduct rules, and Section 35 provides the disciplinary framework for professional or other misconduct.
An acknowledgement of this disclaimer does not cure prohibited content, waive statutory rights or establish regulatory approval. Nothing on this website represents that the Bar Council has endorsed the firm, its content, legal articles or automated tools.
